I've founded tech companies, led all sorts of teams, built some of the most complex and interesting software on the planet, used giant telescopes to stuff my eyeballs full of photons, lobbied congress for AI-safety, wrote two! AI-safety books and somehow managed to be that most rare sort of cat: an active currency trader who isn’t broke. A happily expatriate New Yorker, I lives on the outskirts of Philadelphia with my lovely and talented set and costume designer wife. As a Dads Against AGI co-founder and a PauseAI volunteer, I work to mitigate the risks of superintelligent AI.
